SiteGuard™ anti-vandal modular buildings are factory built in sections of up to 40’ long and 12’ wide. They provide the most cost effective alternative for buildings of up to two storeys, with an almost unlimited floor area, lending themselves to expansion, contraction and relocation.
This has many advantages over the traditional build:
- Minimal disruption to existing operations
- Predictability of programme & cost; delivery on time and on budget
- Reduced environmental impact
- Future relocation or extension of site if required
As an example; we have installed a two storey 10 bay modular building within 16 weeks of order placement. This speed of installation also means that disruption is kept to a minimum. We can arrange for the units to be positioned over weekends or holiday periods if necessary, making the whole process as easy as possible.
Internal layouts and fittings provide comprehensive flexibility, making the system ideal for offices, classrooms, community centres, schools and sports changing rooms.
As consumers and customers strive to become more environmentally friendly, Mac Container Systems are looking at reducing their carbon foot print, with small innovative ideas that all make a difference. All our units have been energy efficient tested and certificated.
Features such as passive infra-red lights (PIR), double glazing, low energy fluorescent lighting and taps and urinals with passive, on-demand flushing and water to wash hand basins, insulation that exceeds building regulations, timers on water boilers. Our R&D team continue to source other green ideas for the future.

Do Mac buildings comply with building regulations?
Yes, our buildings offer a ready to use environment that meets the requirements of the building regulations. You will have a fully Certified & Energy Efficient Unit at the end of the build.
Will I require planning permission?
Yes. Planning permission is required for all Mac Modular buildings.
How are Mac Modular buildings delivered?
After the free site survey, Modular and Relocatable buildings are transported by road on flat bed lorry or trailer platform, then craned into placed.
What do I need to do prior to delivery?
Access to the site needs to be kept clear of all obstructions, allowing enough space for the vehicle delivering the building and the lorry mounted crane.
Do Mac buildings meet the DDA, SENDA and Part M of the building regulations?
Mac buildings meet the requirements of the regulations and obligations of the DDA. You should seek clarification of these requirements from your building control department as your precise requirements are project specific.
Can Mac do the groundworks?
Mac can supply a ‘one stop shop’ that includes the groundworks, plus planning and building control approvals.
Can Mac build a lower spec unit for a smaller budget?
Of course we can. If Building Regulations aren’t required, we can use our Standard build units linked in any modular fashion – or even single stand alone units.
Brief description of unit
The Mac Modular anti-vandal steel security buildings are designed to provide a budget solution to your accommodation problems.
The units are fully welded 1.6mm mild steel structure
The roof has a sprayed layer of insulation plus the equivalent non combustible glass wool fibre that is fitted to all wall cavities. Floor insulation is expanded polystyrene.
Walls - Embossed vinyl wall covering laminated to 12.5mm plasterboard lining.
Ceilings - Embossed vinyl covering laminated to 12.5mm plasterboard lining.
Floors - Heavy duty 2.0mm flexible sheet vinyl floor covering with continuously welded joints bonded to flooring boards is laid as standard.
All installations meet the current I.E.E 17th edition regulations.
All steelwork sprayed externally and internally to an average film thickness of 75 microns (external), 40 microns (internal) with a one coat hi-build anti-corrosive, self-primer. We can also offer the more traditional method of primer and finish coat if required.
